More tests have been taken at a Devon beach after a section of it was closed to swimmers, the local authority said.

High levels of bacteria were found at Dawlish town beach between two breakwaters, said Teignbridge District Council.

The Environment Agency was hoping to pinpoint the cause of the bacteria.

The authority said people were advised not to bathe in the affected area and the results were expected on Saturday.
