Plans for a solar farm with nearly 30,000 panels have been given the go-ahead in Devon.
South Hams District Council approved plans for panels to be erected over a 37-acre area across five fields at Marley Thatch Farm, near South Brent.
The 28,000 panels would be set up on nearly 1,170 support tables, TGC Renewables said.
The company said it hoped the site would be producing electricity by the end of the year.
The support tables would be spaced to allow room for sheep to graze between them, the farm said.
The completed solar farm would provide enough electricity to power about 2,500 homes, TGC Renewables said.
