Tom Daley said he was "so happy" with his latest exam results

Olympic diving star Tom Daley has passed three A-levels, he has told his followers on Twitter.

The 19-year-old bronze medallist sat his final exams at Plymouth College in June.

His tweet read: "Got my A Level results!! Now officially have an A* in photography, A in Spanish and A in maths :) so happy!!!!"

Daley should have left school last summer but delayed some studies to train for the Olympics.

In a later video message, he said reading his results on email was "the most nerve-wracking thing ever, having to open that and see it come through".

He added: "I never have to go to school ever again. I am kind of going to miss it but I mean I'm very happy to come away with straight As and yeah, very happy."

The diver, who has 2.4 million followers on Twitter, gained his Spanish A grade last year.

At London 2012, he won bronze in the 10m men's platform event.
