Two women have been airlifted to hospital after being caught in a rip current off the Devon coast.
Brixham Coastguard said the women were surfing off Bantham when they got into difficulties just after 11:00.
Hope Cove and Bigbury Coastguard Rescue teams, the RNLI's Salcombe all-weather lifeboat and a helicopter from RNAS Culdrose were involved in the rescue.
The women, who have not been named, were flown to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, but later discharged.
"They were cold and had ingested a lot of water, but otherwise appeared unharmed thankfully," a Maritime and Coastguard Agency spokesman told BBC News.
