Devon County Council has said repairs will be carried out in the next few days
A large pothole that closed a road between two villages is due to be repaired in the coming days, Devon County Council has said.
The six-foot hole appeared on an unnamed road between Crediton and Newbuildings.
Farmer Richard Cheriton said it had had a "major impact" on villagers.
"We're struggling to get out of the farm with tankers and tractors, and for farm deliveries it has been a real calamity," he said.
A spokesman for Devon County Council said repairs would be carried out in the next few days and the road resurfaced.

The pothole appeared last month when mud and soft material was forced to the surface
