Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey has visited Devon as part of the party's local election campaign.

Sir Ed visited Backswood Farm, Bickleigh, near Tiverton, where he spoke to farmers about problems faced by the industry.

He said developing "much closer" trading relationships with European countries would benefit farmers.

The visit comes two days after Sir Ed launched the party's campaign in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire.
