The first shops, the start of a town square and a supermarket are being built and should be finished in spring 2024. council bosses said.

People are being asked to fill out a survey, external on the council website.

The authority said the responses would be used to help create a masterplan.

'Especially young people'

Mr Arnott, who is also chair of the Exeter and East Devon Enterprise Zone, said they wanted to hear from people "who don't normally get involved".

"Your ideas really matter. We want to hear from as many people as possible - especially young people.

"Legal agreements are being put in place which mean developers will contribute millions of pounds towards facilities and spaces in the town centre, like a library and leisure centre.
