Man dies in Exeter car crash after suspected medical episode

A man has died in a car crash in Exeter after reportedly suffering a medical episode.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the incident happened on Hill Barton Road at about 13:00 GMT on Tuesday.

A silver Chevrolet Matiz, a silver Fiat 500 and a black Ford Fiesta were involved in the crash, police said.

The Chevrolet driver, a man in his 60s, died later in hospital and officers have asked any witnesses to get in touch with them.

Police said the crash happened near the Sainsbury's supermarket along the road, which was closed while emergency services including paramedics attended the scene.

A statement from police said the man's next of kin had been informed of his death.
