Woman, 79, seriously injured after van hits her in Exeter

A 79-year-old woman has suffered "potentially life-changing injuries" after a van hit her in Exeter, police have said.
Officers were called to the incident in New North Road at about 18:25 GMT on Friday.
The woman is being treated at hospital in Exeter, said the Devon and Cornwall force.
The road was closed for the roads policing team to examine the scene and obtain evidence.
