Cheyenne Loder, of Gorwell Road, Barnstaple, admitted causing grievous bodily harm

A Devon woman has admitted causing grievous bodily harm to a friend who was later found dead.

Cheyanne Loder, 32, of Gorwell Road, Barnstaple, was originally charged with murdering Hayley Adams on 4 November.

An earlier hearing was told the murder charge had been dropped because it was not possible to prove her actions led to Ms Adams' death.

Loder pleaded guilty to a single count of causing grievous bodily harm at Exeter Crown Court.

She entered a basis of plea which said she had "little memory" of events but had no intention of causing any serious injury, the court heard.

Sentencing was adjourned to 15 May.
