Engineering work on Bournemouth Pier gets under way
- Published
Engineering work is to get under way on the eastern side of Bournemouth Pier.
The work, starting on Monday, will be mostly limited to the landing stage area. It includes replacing much of the supporting timber.
It should be completed by the end of the year, depending on weather conditions, a council spokeswoman said.
The pier will remain open and the boat excursion schedule, including the paddle steamer Waverley, should continue unaffected, she added.
