The Queen attended a Mad Hatter's Tea Party in Sherborne

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh have visited Dorset as part of the Diamond Jubilee Tour.

Hundreds of people braved the weather to welcome the royal couple when they arrived at Sherborne by train at 09:55 BST.

The royal couple met schoolchildren at a Mad Hatter's Tea Party in a marquee on the lawn outside Sherborne Abbey.

The Queen toured a food fair while the Duke went inside Sherborne Abbey and viewed an exhibition of local artisans.

They also attended a 1950s-style coffee morning before leaving for Salisbury in Wiltshire at 11:00 BST.

The royal couple are into their their second month of visits to every region of the UK.
