Piddlehinton Gypsy and traveller site approved

Proposals for a temporary traveller site in Dorset have been approved.

Plans for the camp at Piddlehinton were agreed by Dorset County Council's planning committee, with the condition that 24-hour security will be provided.

The site for 25 caravans has planning permission for six months a year, from March to August. The permission will run out in August 2016.

The camp, next to Enterprise Business Park, was used as a temporary site during the 2012 Olympics.
