Creekmoor in Poole traveller site plan submitted

Plans for a temporary traveller site in Dorset have been submitted.
Residents can view the proposals for Marshes End in Creekmoor, Poole, that would provide 12 pitches for travelling families and vehicles.
Councillors voted in favour in principle of the site - and another in Oakdale - last month.
But Creekmoor ward councillor Judy Butt said she had concerns the site was contaminated with asbestos and methane and was on a flood plain.
The more detailed plans for the site, opposite the new fire station in Creekmoor, have been submitted by Poole Borough Council.
If approved, the planning application will authorise the use of the site for a temporary period between 18 April and 15 September.
The council said the sites would be a way of meeting the needs of both residents and travellers as "a number of unauthorised encampments each year" caused "public concern".
Residents can views the proposals online, external or at Creekmoor Library on 13 and 14 February.
