The father of a Kuwaiti student found stabbed to death in Dorset, has admitted killing her.

The body of Mashael Albasman, 25, was discovered on March 30 in a first-floor property on St Michael's Road, Bournemouth.

Faleh Ghazi Albasman pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murder at Winchester Crown Court.

The 59-year-old Kuwaiti national has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 10 October.

He was staying with his daughter in the flat they shared at the time of her death.

Police had charged him with murder, but the Crown Prosecution Service accepted his plea of guilty to manslaughter.
