Warning as works start on A338 Bournemouth spur road diversion

Lane closures on the A338 Bournemouth Spur Road will last until May
Motorists are being warned of further significant travel delays as roadworks start on the A338 Bournemouth spur road diversion route.
Dorset County Council said temporary lights will be in place for a week on the A347 New Road at Dudsbury Avenue, West Parley.
The road is part of the detour route away from the major roadworks on the main route into Bournemouth.
The lights are expected to be in place from 07:00 BST on 5 October.
Work to rebuild the five-and-a-half mile stretch of the A338, external started in September with a contraflow and a reduced speed limit in place.
