Proposals for a £150m revamp of Bournemouth Winter Gardens have been unveiled.
The Bournemouth Development Company wants to build up to 400 apartments, five restaurants, shops, and a piazza on the former concert site.
The music venue, which once hosted the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, closed in 2002 and was demolished four years later.
The site has since been used as a car park.
New below-ground parking and a supermarket are also included in the project.
The plans also include a widened pedestrian area along Exeter Road, which will integrate into a continuous promenade for pedestrians and cyclists around the town centre.
A planning application for the scheme is expected to be submitted early in 2017.
The Bournemouth Development Company, is a partnership between Bournemouth Council and Morgan Sindall Investments.
