Cameron Hamilton was fatally stabbed in the early hours of 5 August.

An 18-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to the murder of a teenager who was fatally stabbed during a fight.

Cameron Hamilton, 18, died after an altercation in The Square in Bournemouth on 5 August.

Thomas Betteridge, of Southsea, entered not guilty pleas at Bournemouth Crown Court to charges of murder and possession of a kitchen knife in a public place.

Judge William Mousley KC adjourned the case for trial on 29 January.

Co-defendant Lennie Hansen, of Waterlooville, also appeared in court.

He pleaded not guilty to assisting an offender but guilty to possession of a kitchen knife.

The family of Mr Hamilton, who was from Bournemouth, described him as "much loved" in a tribute released through Dorset Police following his death.

"We want him to be remembered for the funny, kind and wonderful person he is and always will be," it said.
