- Published
Nearly half a million pounds is being invested in local culture in Dorset.
Twenty-eight organisations in the county - including museums and arts and heritage projects - will receive £486,000 over the next three years.
The money is coming from Dorset Council's Organisational Revenue Support Fund.
Laura Beddow, the authority's culture portfolio holder, said the spending would help "bring arts and heritage to all corners of the council's area".
"It will make a lot of difference for the people of Dorset," she said.
The arts and heritage part of the funding totals £217,000, while museums will receive £269,000.
