Christchurch: Fire rips through semi-detached home

Fire crews said they arrived to find all floors of the home on Iford Lane were on fire

Firefighters have worked through the night to put out a house fire.

The blaze broke out at the semi-detached home in Iford Lane, Christchurch, Dorset, on Monday shortly after 20:30 GMT.

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said crews arrived to find the fire was "well established" on all floors with the homeowner safety outside.

Crews were scaled down in the early hours with one remaining on site to damp down.

The fire service said no one was injured in the fire and an investigation into the cause was under way.
