A big wheel attraction at a seaside resort has been taken town for a revamp.
BCP Council said the observation wheel near Bournemouth Pier had been dismantled for routine maintenance and repairs.
The attraction, which stands about 100ft (30m) tall, is also set to have new enclosed carriages added.
The council said it was expected to be back up on Pier Approach and open for rides again at Easter.
The authority added the current operator would continue to run the observation wheel when it returns.
It said the firm had recently won a new three-year contract through a competitive tender.
