Felled trees cleared to Dorset beach on zip wire

How do you remove trees that are 50ft (15m) tall from a cliff face without a crane and not smash the beach huts below to smithereens?

A 393ft (120m) zip wire is being used at Canford Cliffs, Dorset.

Apex tree surgeons said it was removing trees, with approval from Natural England, to protect the cliff face from erosion.

About 25 maritime pines, which are at risk of falling over in storms, are being taken away before the cliff is replanted, the firm said.
