A man has been arrested following a fire at a hotel that forced guests to evacuate the building.

Firefighters were called to the Grove Hotel in East Cliff, Bournemouth, at about 06:15 GMT on 4 February.

The ambulance service treated a man aged in his 40s, who was then taken to hospital.

He has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and bailed while enquiries continue, Dorset Police said.

The force has urged anyone who has not already spoken to officers to come forward.
