Facebook party death: Jay Whiston stabbed in the heart

A 17-year-old died from a stab wound to the heart at a party attended by up to 150 teenagers arranged through Facebook, an inquest has heard.
Jay Whiston, from the Clacton area, was fatally wounded in Marlowe Way, Colchester, on Saturday night.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned into his death during a hearing in Chelmsford.
It was heard that up to 150 children aged between 15 and 17 years old had been at the house party in the street.
Coroner's officer Paul Roberts told the hearing there had been an "altercation" at the "rear side" of the property.
Jay collapsed outside a neighbouring property, Mr Roberts said.
A post-mortem examination found the 17-year-old Tendring Technology College student died of a stab wound to the heart.
Two men, aged 18, and three boys, aged 17, were arrested in connection with the death. All five have been released on police bail until 17 October.
