Basildon shoplifter 'steals B&Q alarm system'

CCTV has been released of a man suspected of stealing a burglar alarm system from a DIY store in Essex.

The man is alleged to have removed the alarm from the B&Q Store on Pipps Hill Retail Park in Basildon on 22 January.

A police spokesman said the man took the £200 alarm system from the display and "left the store without making any attempt to pay".

The man, thought to be about 5ft 9in tall, entered the shop at about 17:30 GMT.
