Police said the anti-social behaviour was caused by a small minority on Tuesday

A police service issued dispersal orders following Halloween related anti-social behaviour.

Essex Police put a first order in place in Witham, just after 20:00 GMT on Tuesday, and two in the Epping Forest district and Harlow at 21:45.

All three were related to anti-social behaviour involving fireworks.

Reports were shared on social media of eggs and flour being thrown at cars by Ongar Bridge, in the Epping Forest district.

Dispersal orders give police powers to direct anyone to leave the specified area immediately, and those who do not comply could be arrested.

The dispersal orders lasted until Wednesday morning.

Insp Danny Warner said: "These are necessary to further prevent members of the public being harassed, alarmed or distressed by the behaviour of a small minority on Halloween."
