Man rescued after car goes through Colchester house

Firefighters have rescued a man after his car collided with the front of a house.

Crews from Colchester, Coggeshall and the Urban Search and Rescue team were called to Duncan Road in Colchester, Essex, on Wednesday at 15:21 GMT.

Essex Fire & Rescue Service removed the rear seat of the car so they could carry the man on a stretcher.

He was conscious during the incident and was treated by the ambulance service at 16:16 GMT.
