Police halt search for Marc Jones after Hockley Woods body find

Marc Jones travelled to Essex before Christmas

A police investigation into a man's disappearance has been halted after a body was found in woodland.

Marc Jones, 44, of Marlow, Bucks, was in Essex to see family before Christmas but was reported missing after he was last seen on 23 December.

The body, found in Hockley Woods on Saturday, has yet to be formally identified but Mr Jones' family have been informed.

Essex Police worked alongside Thames Valley Police during the investigation.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: "We will provide an update on our investigation as soon as we practically can.

"At this time, our thoughts are very much with Marc's family and those close to him."
