Forest of Dean delegation to meet peers

  • Published

A group of Gloucestershire residents is to meet with peers to express concerns about the possible sale of parts of the Forest of Dean.

If passed in its current form, the Public Bodies Bill would allow ministers to dispose of parts of the Forest estate.

The bill is part of the government's plans to scrap or merge quangos such as the Forestry Commission.

The residents are due to meet with Lords at Westminster at lunch time.
