Jet Age Museum plans agreed for Gloucestershire Airport

The Jet Age Museum has been given permission to return to Gloucestershire Airport after ten years of waiting.

Proposals have been waved through by the Secretary of State after a 21-day period to approve the plan or call for a public enquiry.

Last month Tewkesbury Borough Council agreed to the erection of a new hangar which will house the museum's collection of historic aircraft.

The museum now needs to raise a further £80,000 before building work can begin.

Since 2000 the museum's collection has been stored in temporary accommodation including the Tithe Barn Centre at Brockworth and a farm at Churcham.

It was forced out of its previous home when the airport expanded.
