Gloucestershire to get more cash to repair potholes

Gloucestershire is to get more money to repair potholes that formed during freezing winter weather.

The county council said it had been expecting a £1.6m share of the £100m for road repairs that was announced by the government in February.

Then in Wednesday's budget, it was announced that an extra £200m would be provided to English councils.

The Department for Transport has now informed the authority it will get £3.6m.
