Forest of Dean theatre group 'saved' by Gloucestershire College

A college in Gloucestershire has stepped in to save an amateur dramatics group in the Forest of Dean which was in danger of closing.

Gloucestershire College has agreed to provide the money needed to keep the Forest Youth Theatre going.

Part of the agreement means the theatre will increase the age of participants to 19, so students at the college will be able to take part in activities.

Youth theatre director Jamie Lee said it was a "fantastic opportunity".
