Gloucester man charged with raping elderly woman in her home

A man has appeared in court accused of raping a 71-year-old woman in her home.
Brady Hickman, 32, from Gloucester, appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court earlier via video link.
He is charged with rape and two counts of sexual assault by penetration.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on 17 December.
The woman was attacked at about 01:45 GMT on 11 November, near Bristol Road and Seymour Road, Gloucester.
Police were alerted when she activated her personal alarm.
"Specially trained officers continue to support the victim, who has shown amazing bravery, strength and courage during this process," said Det Sgt Faye Satchwell-Bennett.
