The M5 southbound near Stroud has reopened after being closed for more than 16 hours following a fuel spill.

A lorry crashed into a central reservation and spilled a "significant" amount of diesel, with emergency services called at about 03:00 BST.

The crash barrier and the nearside barrier were badly damaged between junctions 13 and 14.

A large section of carriageway needed to be resurfaced and all lanes were reopened at about 19:30 BST.
