Gloucestershire: A417 closed after man dies in four-vehicle crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash in which another man died.
The collision involved two cars and two motorcycles on the A417 near Gloucester, at 22:30 BST on Wednesday.
The man who died was aged in his 50s, Gloucestershire Police said. Two other people were taken to hospital.
The road remains closed in both directions from the A40 Over roundabout to Church Road in Maisemore.
The arrested man, aged 27, was also questioned on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and remains in police custody.
They have asked drivers to find an alternative route and appealed for anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to get in touch with them.
