Gloucestershire murder suspect arrested after man found dead

Police were searching for a murder suspect after a man was found dead in Gloucester

Detectives searching for a man in connection with a murder investigation have made an arrest.

Officers were called to the Barton area of Gloucester at about 09:00 BST and found the body of a man aged in his 50s.

A murder investigation was launched and police have now arrested a 34-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

"At this time officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident," said a police spokesman.

He added: "Closures remain in place on Vauxhall Road and Barton Street while inquiries continue in the area."
