Woman dies on Christmas Day after Cotswolds quad bike crash

A woman who was seriously injured in a quad bike crash has died.

The woman, aged in her 20s, is believed to have fallen off the vehicle that overturned in Whitehouse Lane, Shipton Moyne, Gloucestershire, shortly after 14:00 GMT on 23 December.

She was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol by air ambulance but died from her injuries on Christmas Day.

Two men, aged 29 and 30, were arrested and bailed with conditions to return to police in February.

One is believed to have made off from the scene on a quad bike and was later detained following a search involving the police helicopter.

A second man was also later arrested.

Gloucestershire Constabulary said both men were from the Cotswolds, adding it was making further enquires about the crash, which happened near Tetbury.

The force has urged anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the quad bike being driven beforehand to contact officers.
