A417 to close for two weeks as missing link work continues
- Published
Part of a major road will be closed overnight for two weeks due to construction work.
The A417 will be closed from 8 April to allow for ground excavation work for part of the £460m 'missing link' scheme between Gloucester and Cirencester.
The closure will be from the Air Balloon roundabout to the A46 Brockworth junction, between the hours of 21:00 to 06:00 GMT.
During the closures, motorists will be diverted to the A46, A40, A435 to A436.
Excavation work is being undertaken in preparation for the foundations for new bridges.
The work will also include earth removal, new surfacing work and the painting of road markings.
National Highways said the nearby National Star College and Crickley Hill Country Park will be open for business as usual.
