Gloucestershire A48 reopens after man killed and two injured in crash

The A48 in Gloucester reopened in the early hours of Friday morning

A major Gloucestershire road has reopened after a man was killed and two people were injured.

The two-vehicle collision between a Vauxhall Astra and a Mercedes B180 happened on the A48 near Minsterworth at about 12:50 BST on Thursday.

The driver of the Vauxhall car, a 51-year-old man from Coleford, died at the scene.

The two people in the Mercedes were taken to the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in a serious condition.

On Friday morning, Gloucestershire Highways posted on X confirming that the A48 has reopened between Highnam and Elton Corner at 03:31 BST.
