Cunard's cruise liners mark Diamond Jubilee
- Published
A shipping line will celebrate the Diamond Jubilee by sailing its largest ships in formation from Southampton.
It will be the first time Cunard's The Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 will arrive and depart from the port together.
Peter Shanks, Cunard president, said it would mark the "60 glorious years of Her Majesty's reign in a fitting, memorable and spectacular way."
The ships are the largest Cunard liners ever built.
Their whistles will sound in salute of Her Majesty's Jubilee at the event on Tuesday, 5 June.
Following a fireworks display the three ships will set out in single file down the Solent on Jubilee voyages.
