Girl seen with murder suspect in Waterlooville is found

Police have warned the public not to approach Sean Bailey

A 16-year-old girl who was spotted with a murder suspect has been found safe and well, Hampshire Police said.

The girl from Waterlooville had been seen with Sean Bailey early on Thursday morning around the time a man in his 20s was stabbed and died in the town.

Police have said they want to speak to Mr Bailey, 28, about the murder in Dove Close. Mr Bailey has not been found.

The teenager, who is understood to be Mr Bailey's girlfriend, was traced in the early hours of Friday.

Police said members of the public should not approach Mr Bailey if they see him but should call 999.

Earlier police said they were called to Dove Close at 05:30 BST on Thursday to reports of a fight and found the injured victim who was later pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim, who had stab injuries, has not been released.
