A new specialist vehicle is being introduced to deal with animal rescues in northern Hampshire.
The Basingstoke-based appliance can deal with incidents such as road accidents involving livestock.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue (HFRS) said it dealt with at least one trapped animal a week where people's safety was endangered.
HFRS's Jim Green said the vehicle would allow them to deal with animal incidents "humanely and safely".
