A former Southampton Football Club youth coach has appeared in court facing a further child abuse charge.
Bob Higgins, who is already facing multiple charges of indecent assault against boys, is accused of indecently assaulting a boy under 16 in 1984.
Prosecutors allege the offence happened between 14 September and 17 November.
Mr Higgins, 64, appeared before Southampton magistrates to deny the charge before being released on unconditional bail.
The former coach, of Southampton, is due to go on trial next year for dozens of alleged assaults against boys between 1970 and 1996.
A provisional trial date has been set for 9 April.
