Dozens of firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a thatched house on the Isle of Wight.
The fire on Moons Hill near Freshwater, broke out in the chimney and spread across the roof shortly after 05:30 BST, the fire service said.
Crews from six stations across the island and one from the mainland were sent to the fire which sent up thick plumes of smoke.
People living nearby are being urged to keep windows and doors closed.
Moons Hill remains closed from Queen's Road.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service said staffing had now been scaled down and three fire engines remain at the home "to ensure the fire is fully extinguished".
The fire service said no one had been injured in the fire.
