Storm Isha: Southsea battered by strong winds

Winds gusted at speeds of up to 86mph (138km/h) on the south coast as Storm Isha swept through.

BBC Weather Watcher Dan Wardle braved the strong winds and heavy rain to capture the scene at Clarence Esplanade in Southsea on Sunday night.

Across the UK thousands of people have spent the night without power and an 84-year-old man in Fife, Scotland, died after a car he was a passenger in crashed into a fallen tree.

Part of a building also collapsed on to the road below in Witney, Oxfordshire.
