Aldershot: Man charged after police officer struck by car

A man has been charged after a police officer was knocked down by a car.
Police stopped a Renault in York Road, Aldershot, at about 23:45 GMT on 25 January.
The officer was then hit by the vehicle, suffering minor injuries to his leg and lower back, police said.
A 25-year-old man, of no fixed address, is due before Basingstoke magistrates charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and driving a motor vehicle dangerously.
He has also been charged with failing to stop, failing to report an accident, failing to stop a vehicle when directed by police and driving without insurance or a licence.
