Police officers are asking motorists for dashcam footage as they continue to search for a missing man.

Neil Allen, 41, from Wimborne was reported missing having last been seen on the evening of Tuesday 13 February.

Mr Allen is described as 5ft 10in (1.78m), with long brown hair and a full beard.

Chief Inspector Dave Parr, of Dorset Police, said: "We are continuing to carry out detailed targeted searches, using specialist police search assets."

In a fresh appeal, Mr Allen's mother said he was "very much loved".

"We just want you home safe and well," she added.

Police say extensive search efforts suggest Mr Allen visited an address in Barnes Crescent prior to going to the Spar store in Gordon Road at about 8.50pm, which was captured on CCTV.

Mr Allen was then seen on Leigh Road, near Brook Road, between 9.30pm and 10pm.

The force are asking motorists who were in the area around this time, to check any dashcam footage for possible sightings.

Chief Insp Parr said: "We have conducted extensive house-to-house and CCTV enquiries in the area that Neil was last seen but these have so far not uncovered any further sightings.

"I would therefore ask any motorists who were in the areas of Barnes Crescent, Gordon Road, Leigh Road, Brook Road or Wimborne town centre from 8.30pm on Tuesday 13 February until around 4am on Wednesday 14 February 2024 to see if they have captured any possible sightings of Neil that might help us to understand his movements."
