A new £7m livestock market in Herefordshire is expected to be completed by Easter, a council says.

The market, along the Roman Road to the north west of Hereford, will hold 8,000 sheep and 500 cattle.

The market has been planned for 10 years and work finally started on the 48-acre site in June which the council described as an "historic day".

It is part of multimillion-pound redevelopment of the town which includes restaurants and new shops.
