Herefordshire Council to stop providing binbags

A council is to stop providing binbags in a bid to save £200,000 a year.
Households in Herefordshire used to be given 52 black bags per year but from autumn, the council said residents will have to buy their own.
Buying the bags, advertising in the local media and having them delivered, cost the council more than £3 per property, a spokesman said.
An increase in recycling, has meant residents often only half-fill black sacks each week, he added.
