Perdiswell Park and Ride bus service in Worcester scrapped

A park-and-ride service to Worcester will cease operating from Monday as part of a council's cost-cutting plans.
The decision to scrap Perdiswell Park and Ride comes after a consultation attracting more than 8,000 responses.
Worcester County Council needs to save about £25m each year until 2017-18.
Highways cabinet member councillor John Smith said the authority had taken all views into account and added that the vast majority of people would still be able to use public transport.
Passengers are urged to use services 144, 144A or 147 for alternative journeys between Perdiswell and Worcester city centre.
